The political majority demands democracy
A massive protest take place today Friday afternoon 19th April,2013 west of the capital Manama from Jannusan Roundabout to Saar Roundabout. Organized by the opposition parties in Bahrain, the demonstration affirmed the continuity of the revolution in Bahrain as well as the popular demands of the political majority for a democratic transition.
Today’s demonstration is one of Bahrain mass protests for democracy and comes after a series of pro-democracy protests that have been taking place for a week under the banner of “Democracy Is Our Right”.
Few days ago, the opposition has called for wide participation in the demonstration and urged all parties and sectors of all ideological and political factions to take part.
The opposition stated the demonstration will demonstrate the fair popular demands for a democratic transition which are fair demands as it is inevitable. The demonstration will also stress on the political majority demand for democracy and which cannot be silenced by repression and violence.
The protesters condemned the human rights violations of the Bahraini regime that provide a live evidence for the need to change this bloody regime. Despite the international recommendations, the Bahraini government still violating the loyal rights of the Bahraini people by banning several peaceful protests and suppressing others every day and night.
